nairaCompare Insight

Sunu Health's strength is clarity. With just three plans distinguished by specialist sessions, admission days, and ward type, it is one of the easiest individual ranges in the Nigerian market to understand at a glance. The trade-off is that consultation access is session-capped rather than open, so the plans reward enrollees who use specialist care occasionally rather than frequently. If you anticipate regular specialist visits, it is worth counting your likely sessions against the plan's annual allowance before enrolling.

The clearest decision point in the range is maternity. Only Retail Emerald includes it, so anyone planning for a child should factor that in and not assume the lower tiers will cover delivery. For everyone else, Retail Pearl and Retail Sapphire offer a genuinely affordable route into regulated cover with nationwide emergency access and preventive benefits. Use nairaCompare to weigh Sunu's session-based structure against the visit-limit and benefit-cap models used by other providers before deciding.
